First post....hmmmm. Perhaps I should shatter a bottle of champagne over my keyboard to celebrate? Well I have to say I am late to get onto the whole blogging train but I'm sure my tardiness will be outweighed by the immense insight and meaning I will inject into your life. Just you wait.

Actually this was inspired by the fact that I'm headed abroad here is less than two weeks and I wanted to make a way for my friends to keep track of me. On July 27th I'll be headed to Europe with my little brother. We'll be bumming around there raising just a little hell in the Old World before meeting up with my parents and sister in small town in France. After spending some time there, I'll be headed back home for a full day and a half before heading of to Beijing. I'm doing IES Abroad there and will be about for the fall semester. We'll see how it goes. I really don't know what to expect except for dirty streets and the experience of sticking out like a sore thumb.

I've just made the promise: I'm not eating any dog.

In the meantime, I'm in Washington, DC with a program from my college. I would have to say the experience has been great so far. I get to work a quasi-legitimate internship, hang out with my girlfriend a whole lot and actually take a pretty cool class as well. But my whole time here is quickly drawing to a close.
